First of all, a big thank you to all who came and made this year's Destination a huge success yet again. As many of you will be aware, Destination will be suspended this year. Few of you will be aware that over the years we have unfortunately accumulated a large debt which we have tried to trade our way out of.
Sadly, this has been unsuccessful so instead of getting deeper into debt we have decided to stand our ground and pay the debt off to our generous creditors over time. In order to help us do this we will be doing occasional fundraiser's as well as clearing debts from our own individual endeavours.
We will do another Destination in our new location when we are debt free. Your donations so far have been well received and we would personally like to thank each of you for your kindness. As it stands, to keep Destination afloat, the two at the helm are committing to up to $2000 a month over the next 5 years to secure the survival of Destination.
Donations can be sent to P.O.Box 2012, Christchurch and will be acknowledged on our web site (should you wish).
Over the next few years, the Destination whanau will be doing occasional FUNraisers on significant dates be they political (hence September 11) or astrological, with the aim of keeping (that special feeling and message that is) Destination alive. Each event will be different in terms of venue and concept. We hope to present movie premieres, art exhibitions and gigs all related to Destination in one way or another.
